How this calculator works
The calculator walks through every date from the start to the end, inclusive. Each day is classed as a weekend day, a public holiday or a working day, following the options you tick. Working days are the calendar days that remain after weekends and holidays are removed.
Public holidays differ by country and year, so you add them yourself for the period you are looking at. The list only affects the count while Exclude public holidays is switched on.
Frequently asked questions
Are the start and end dates included?+
Yes, both dates are included in the count. For a full month, choose the first and last day of the month.
How are public holidays handled?+
Add each public holiday in your period to the list. A holiday that falls on a Saturday or Sunday is counted as a weekend day, so nothing is subtracted twice.
Can I count a six-day working week?+
Yes. Untick Exclude Saturdays and only Sundays and holidays will be left out.
